What We Believe

The foundation of faith at Alpha and Omega Holiness Church

For over 25 years, we have grounded our worship in Scripture and the Holy Spirit's power. Here are the core convictions that unite us in Angleton-rooted in Pentecostal tradition and centered on the call to watch and pray in unity and love. Five essential truths that guide our fellowship, empower our service, and call us together in Christ.

Tenet One

Who God is

Everything we believe flows from understanding God's nature. This is our foundation, and where we return always in prayer and worship.

We believe in one God, eternal and good, who created all things and sustains all life. He is not distant or impersonal. He is a Father who calls us by name, who made us with purpose, and who loves us with an everlasting love.

We believe this one God exists eternally as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Not three Gods, but one God whose very essence is relationship and whose nature is love flowing outward. From the beginning, His plan has been to draw us into that divine love and fellowship.

When we truly grasp who God is, everything transforms. Every conviction we hold, every practice we embrace, every gathering we share in unity and love is rooted in taking His character and His Word seriously.

Tenet Two

Who we are

Scripture says every human being carries the fingerprint of God, and also carries the weight of being broken. Six short statements on what that means for how we see ourselves and the people around us.

Made In the image of God Every person, without exception, bears the dignity and worth of a Maker who knew them first.
Known Fully and forever There is nothing about you that God has not seen, and nothing he has seen has caused him to love you less.
Broken Honest about sin We are also broken people living in a broken world, and pretending otherwise has never healed anyone.
Loved Not because earned God does not love us because we got our act together. He loves us while we were still a mess.
Called To watch and pray in unity Being loved does not leave us the same. The Holy Spirit invites us into a transformed, Spirit-filled life of power and purpose.
Together A family, not a crowd We are never just a solo story. God shapes us through each other in the bonds of love, which is why church exists at all.
Our Foundation

What we believe

At Alpha and Omega Holiness Church of Jesus Christ, our faith rests on the finished work of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. We gather in unity and love to watch and pray, grounded in these core convictions that shape everything we do.

  • 01

Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, his sinless life, his substitutionary death on the cross, and his bodily resurrection. Through faith in him alone comes salvation and eternal life.

  • 02

The Holy Spirit empowers and transforms

We embrace the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The Spirit's gifts and fruit work in and through believers today, just as they did in the early church, equipping us for kingdom service.

  • 03

The Bible is God's authoritative Word

We stand on Scripture as our guide for faith and practice. The Old and New Testaments reveal God's character, redemptive plan, and will for our lives. We study and live by its truth with reverence and obedience.

  • 04

Unity in Christ transcends all divisions

We are called to watch and pray together, setting aside distinctions to stand as one body. In love and mutual care, we reflect Christ's heart and strengthen one another for the work God has entrusted to our hands.

Our Foundation
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
The Great Commandment, Matthew 22:37-40
